Caring for your Felt

Your felt has been fulled (shrunk) with both hot and cold water which makes it quite durable and friendly to washing.

I do not recommend machine washing because the extra agitation can distort and re-shape your felt. With that in mind, I wash in the sink, bathtub, or (for the rugs) outside with a hose, using mild soap if needed and a good rinse at the end.   Hang your scarves and rugs to drip dry, but in the final stages of drying the rugs lay them flat for a nice, smooth finish.  Iron your scarf on a silk setting when dry.

In the northern regions felt rugs are also quite happy to spend a day out in the February sun, with below zero temps, high on a snowbank in your yard!
